Dear Gala and Auction Supporter:

Over the years our Foundation has raised and donated over $1,500,000. This money has been used to assist over 9,500 Sussex County children and families in need. We would not be able to do this without you, our local supporters. We are proud to watch and gather along with our community each year to generate funds which help bring a bit of help, happiness and joy for these children in need. On the back of this flyer, you will find a snapshot of our figures and our mission statement, to help you truly understand how this organization makes an impact! Through our combined efforts the Foundation has provided grants and financial support to local groups like the Food Bank of Delaware, Immanuel Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, the Home of the Brave and Big Brothers and Big Sisters and many more. While our well-known Christmas/Holiday program for children who would otherwise go without during the Holidays has been the primary focus for our Foundation, we continue to seek other opportunities to help and support our Sussex County communities throughout the year. In 2023 we impacted over 330 local children and with your help we hope to grow this number.

SCAOR Community Service Foundation’s mission is to engage and connect SCAOR with local causes our members care about by promoting and encouraging safe, decent and affordable housing, providing immediate aid to individuals and families that are in need and supporting activities that foster, support and enrich our community.

It is with great Pride we report the SCAOR Community Service Foundation, since its inception in 1994 has historically impacted the following:

For the 2023 season, our efforts in Sussex County were impactful:

We served 8 service centers.
Supported 144 families, benefiting 364 children.
Provided shopping for 195 children.
Engaged 47 volunteers from the Realtor community and public, averaging 4 children per person.
Our shopping day at Walmart totaled $22,500.
169 children from Howard T. Ennis will receive gift cards.
We presented $18,940 in individual gift cards to Ennis.
Notably, two significant centers, Delaware Guidance Services and Adams State Service Center, did not require our assistance in 2023.
Walmart Corporate granted $49,980 in gift cards.
Our spending increased for the second consecutive year, with an additional $10 per person, totaling a $1950 difference.
Importantly, we maintained Howard T. Ennis spending at the 2022 budget level.

We still have much to do in Sussex County:

➢ There are over 9,000 homeless children

➢ Over 30,700 individuals live below poverty line or 22% of our community members

➢ At minimum wage you need to work 118 hours a week to afford a 2-bedroom

apartment or make $24.98 per hour

Help?

To date, we've raised an impressive $1,692,106. Breakdown of gala gross:

2022 gala grossed $73,425.
2023 gala grossed $81,301.

Additionally, we're proud to have served a total of 10,324 children to date

EVENT SPONSOR: $5000 – Includes 2 Tables of 10 in prime location, 20 tickets to Gala, logo inclusion on the photo backdrop, inclusion of company logo on all marketing materials and newspaper advertisement, band will thank sponsor with the opening of each set, logo on cocktail napkins along with full page ad on power point. (sponsor must decorate the centerpiece of the table)
